The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) has unveiled the first video case study in its Moments of Impact program, highlighting the legacy and long-term outcomes of the Australasian Neuromuscular Network (ANN) and Asian & Oceanian Myology Center (AOMC) 2026 Joint Congress.
Held at PCEC in June 2026, the international congress brought together leading researchers, clinicians, industry representatives and community voices to advance the future of neuromuscular care. The event has now been captured as the inaugural story in a program designed to demonstrate the impact business events create.
The Moments of Impact initiative is a strategic storytelling program that showcases how events hosted at PCEC influence industries, strengthen communities and create meaningful change.
PCEC Head of Marketing, Liz De Prose, said the case study represents an important shift in how the role of business events is communicated. “This is about moving beyond what happens within the venue, to recognising the broader legacy events create,” she said. “The ANN & AOMC Congress is a powerful example of how bringing the right people together can accelerate research, strengthen collaboration and ultimately improve outcomes for communities and industries.”
Across three days, the congress delivered a comprehensive program including scientific symposia, emerging researcher sessions, clinical case discussions and collaborative forums. Importantly, it also integrated lived experience perspectives, ensuring research and clinical advancements remain grounded in real-world impact.
The video case study captures how vital the congress is to advancing collaboration across the neuromuscular research and clinical community, and how it strengthens connections between industry, healthcare and community stakeholders.
The initiative aligns with PCEC’s broader vision to position the venue as a catalyst for impact, where ideas are exchanged, partnerships are formed, and outcomes are realised well beyond the event itself.
“Business events like this play a critical role in driving innovation and shaping the future of industries,” De Prose continued “Through Moments of Impact, we are capturing and sharing these stories to demonstrate the lasting value events deliver to Western Australia and globally.”
The ANN & AOMC Joint Congress case study is the first of a series of stories to be developed under the program, supporting PCEC’s ongoing focus on legacy and impact in the business events sector.
The video is now available via PCEC’s digital channels.
