Riverside Theatre seats up to 2,500 guests in a full theatre configuration, with the option to scale to approximately 1,030 for smaller-format events.

Back-of-house facilities support efficient bump-in and bump-out, while adjoining foyer spaces allow for smooth audience movement before, during and after events.

FAQs

Do you have accessible seating, and where is it located?

Yes. Riverside Theatre has dedicated wheelchair spaces with adjacent companion seating and stepfree access via lifts. When buying tickets, please book through Ticketek’s Accessible Ticketing service so we can seat your party together.

Seats in rows AA-DD are step free and a good option for those with limited mobility. Please note there is limited availability of these seats, ensure you book early.

Yes. The theatre offers hearing augmentation (hearing loop/assisted listening) coverage. Please ask our helpful usher team on arrival if you require assistance.

Yes, you can bring your own water into PCEC. Please note that bars and kiosks operate in the Riverside Theatre foyers with food and beverage options. However, many events restrict food and drink inside the theatre, please check your event’s Ticketek page for any show specific conditions.

No outside food is permitted in the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Bars and kiosks operate in the Riverside Theatre foyers with a range of food options.

Cloakroom services operate for selected events; ask info@pcec.com.au prior to your event. 

You can find the parent’s room on Level 1 at the eastern end of the building, near to the boardrooms. This level is accessible via our lift from the car park and Level 2. Please ask our friendly Front of House Staff for directions. Please note that the door may be locked, if so please ring security on 9475 3301.

Age recommendations are set by the event promoter. Many concerts are all ages; some shows specify “babes in arms under 2 on lap” and others are 18+. Check your Ticketek event page for your show’s policy.

Camera rules are event-specific. Many tours don’t allow cameras in the theatre, especially recording devices and flash photography. Please follow the policy on your Ticketek event page.

Yes. The First Aid Room is located on Level 1 opposite Exhibition Pavilion 2, at the bottom of the escalators. If you need assistance, notify a staff member or call PCEC Security on 9475 3301.

Please see Front of House or the Information Desk; items are handled under PCEC’s lost property process. If you need an incident number for insurance, WA Police also provide an online lost property report service.

Earplugs aren’t listed as a standard amenity. You’re welcome to bring your own; if the show provides them, Front of House will let you know on the night. (For assisted listening, see the hearing loop above.)

Yes, this is located next to the First Aid room on Level 1, at the bottom of the escalators. However, some event organisers do set up a temporary quiet/sensory space – please ask Front of House on arrival.

For safety and compliance purposes, prams can’t be taken into the theatre. Front of House will direct you to pram parking/cloak if available for your event.

Yes. Free WiFi is available throughout PCEC. Connect to the venue network and follow the onscreen prompts.

Ticketek is the authorised ticketing partner for all events in the Riverside Theatre. A Ticketek box office operates on Level 2 of PCEC on the day of performances and is open approximately 2 hours before the show start time; outside those times, use Ticketek Help/Accessible lines.

Yes. PCEC has seven unisex accessible toilets across the venue, with lift access to all floors.
