The Western Australian Government has declared a State of Emergency and issued Mass Gatherings Directions. Together, these ordinances preclude the Careers Expo occurring on the original dates of 21 – 24 May 2020. On this basis, the Careers Expo cannot be staged on the original dates in May 2020.
When will the event be staged?
We are uncertain as to when we will be permitted to stage the event. The State of Emergency is currently in place until 2 April 2020, but it is unlikely that it will be lifted on that date. Subject to venue availability, it may be possible to stage the event later this year. We have retained next year’s booking with the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (13 – 20 May 2021) and this may be the earliest date on which we can stage the event.
When will we know more?
As you can appreciate, this is a rapidly evolving situation with many moving parts. We will use our best endeavours to keep you informed of any developments.
Please be confident that we will continue to work in the best interests of our exhibitors and Expo visitors and the broader community. If you have any immediate concerns, please email us at email@example.com. While we will do our best to answer any queries, please appreciate that this is a rapidly evolving situation and we may simply have no better information than is available from public sources.
Keep safe and best regards,
Paula Zaza, Sales Director
