“I’m really excited to announce the Not That Kinda Viral tour. There was so much love for my first comedy tour, I was inspired to work on a new show and get silly all over again. There’s been so much new content since then that I want to get out and have some fun with.” – Jimmy Rees
The Not That Kinda Viral tour follows on from Jimmy’s hugely successful 2022 Meanwhile In Australia tour. What started out as 5 shows became 35 sold-out shows (including 7 shows in his hometown of Melbourne!), with many selling out the day they went on sale, making it one of the most successful comedy tours of the year!
Beginning his career as the legendary Jimmy Giggle on the award-winning ABC Kid’s TV series, Giggle & Hoot, Jimmy spent a decade as the face of the iconic series, airing seven days a week on the national broadcaster. During this time he toured with Giggle & Hoot playing to more than 500,000 people live and releasing several albums including an iTunes #1 Christmas album, Jimmy Giggle’s Christmas Party featuring duets with Tina Arena, Fifi Box, Justine Clarke, David Campbell, Deb Mailman and more.
Post Giggle & Hoot, in the COVID years, Jimmy’s content resonated around the world with hundreds of millions of views, he was a viral sensation in the truest sense (…not that kinda viral) with his quick-witted comedy sketches across his Facebook (1M+ followers), YouTube (157k subscribers), Twitter (15k followers), TikTok (1.3M followers + 33.1M Likes) and Instagram (470k followers) platforms as he grew his audience from adoring kids to like-minded adults.
