  • International Women's Day Breakfast 2017
    7 March
UN Women National Committee (NC) Australia hosts Australia’s largest International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations in March each year. IWD is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women. It is also a day to review how far women have come in their struggle for equality, peace and development.
This year our International Women’s Day theme is ‘Empower a Woman, Empower a Nation’, recognising the pivotal role women play in all aspects of society. Our campaign aims to raise awareness of the importance of women’s access to leadership opportunities, equal political participation and economic empowerment, highlighting how women’s empowerment translates into stronger nations, economies and safer communities.
Help change the lives of women and girls, by joining us for our biggest annual fundraiser and Australia’s largest International Women’s Day events.
