Government granted approval for the construction of Perth Convention
and Exhibition Centre and work commenced in 2001.
- Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is Western Australia's largest and
only purpose-built convention, exhibition and meeting centre, catering for
functions of up to 5,000 delegates.
- Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is in the heart of Perth's
Central Business District, nestled between the Swan River and the city.
- Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre has three levels, built atop a
1500-bay public carpark, with 1200
carparks undercover. There are additional carparks across the road.
- Riverside Theatre has been designed for plenary sessions of major
conventions, however it is able to be split into smaller areas to meet
requirements of meetings of all sizes. It is also the ideal venue for staging
productions and concerts.

- A 138-apartment hotel built over six levels was opened in conjunction
with Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The hotel is operated
by the Medina Group.
- Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre houses some of the most advanced
communications facilities in Australia.
- Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is a WiFi Zone, offering a
permanently installed wireless service throughout the
venue.
