Special features...
A unique feature is a distinctive removable wall positioned between
the Riverside Theatre and the adjacent exhibition pavilion 1. Event organisers
wanting to stage a dramatic ‘reveal’ are able to take advantage of this special
capability. The operable wall also allows for larger stage show
productions, as well as the possibility of combining a plenary session with an
exhibition, meeting or event.
A hearing augmentation induction loop
system is provided to the Riverside Theatre.
The
standard stage
dimensions are approx 24 metres wide by 8.6 metres deep. The stage can be extended into
the Riverside Theatre by 4 metres.
The Riverside Theatre supports
amplified sound for staging productions, concerts and major speaker
presentations. It is capable of broadcasting speakers from elsewhere in
the world, and allowing the speakers to take questions from the floor in
real time. Latest technology lighting effects are also available within the
Riverside Theatre, to enhance the quality and impact of an event’s production.
Three projector screens are available in the Riverside Theatre, one
in the centre (6 metres x 4 metres) and two side screens (4 metres x 3
metres). There are three Panasonic DLP Projectors (6000 Lumins)
Level 2 Meeting
Rooms
All Level 2 meeting rooms are accessible from the main foyer of the
PCEC.
A registration desk (19 metres in length) is located in the main foyer and
provides facilities and a focal point for event and meeting management. A
lockable office is available behind the main registration desk.
Public
announcement systems are available and can be individually programmed for voice
announcements, alert signals or background music. A digital display screen
connected to the centre’s SCALA communication systems is located at the entry
door to each meeting room. Each screen can be individually scripted
according to the needs of the meeting or event.
Filled with natural light
by floor to ceiling windows, the expansive foyers of 100 metres by 20 metres
connect all meeting rooms and are ideal areas for managing high levels of
traffic and possible additional display areas.
