New hotels and buzzing metropolis for Perth
December 22, 2011
Three major developments within Perth are set to transform the city into a vibrant and bustling international destination.
These developments include the: Perth Waterfront Development; Riverside Development; and the Perth City Link.
Each development will incorporate various commercial, retail, private and public spaces including areas dedicated for hotel construction. The Riverside Development has already confirmed a 236-suite luxury hotel, scheduled for completion in 2012. Between 15,000 and 30,000 gross floor area has been allocated for the Perth City Link development and in early December 2011, the Western Australian Government called for expressions of interest for hotel development at the Perth Waterfront site.
These developments are great news for Perth as they will significantly improve the Perth CBD, and create vibrant hubs of activity for international and national delegates and local residents alike.
Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) is on the doorstep of the Perth Waterfront Development greatly enhancing those events that choose PCEC as the host venue for their conference or exhibition.
Construction for the Perth Waterfront will begin in 2012. The Perth City Link and Riverside development have already commenced works.
All three developments will have a number of their construction phases completed in time for the LNG18 event in 2016 which is set to attract over 5,000 delegates.
