PCEC powers down for Earth Hour

March 23, 2011

This Saturday, 26th March 2011 at 8.30pm, Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) will power down for one hour in what promises to be an amazing and inspiring event in the fight against climate change.

PCEC will be joining millions around the globe to power down by switching off all non-essential lighting and machines, and unplugging appliances at the power point.

This is the fourth year that PCEC have participated in this environmental initiative.

PCEC’s Chief Executive Officer, Dean Lee stated, “The simple act of turning lights off sends a powerful message that if individuals take small steps, collectively we can make a huge difference in reducing our carbon footprint.”

The Centre has committed to participate in Earth Hour and is working with clients and staff to raise awareness and support this important initiative.
